Description

"How to survive Negotiation using a Seven element Model"

Negotiation is part of our everyday life, sometimes we do it without realising. This model shows how to negotiate in a way that maintains relationships in the long term. It moves us away from the partisan win-lose by seeking to find agreements that are mutually beneficial. This model can be applied to negotiating with family, children and partners. It can and has been used successfully in the work situation and in resolving community conflicts both within and between communities.

Session Time:

10.00am - 4.30pm

Session Details:

During this workshop participants will learn how to:

  1. Use each of the Seven elements of Principled Negotiation
  2. Compare the Principled model to the “Traditional win-lose” approach
  3. Use the model in a conflict scenario
  4. Understand the importance of preparation and planning prior to negotiation
  5. Understand negotiation as a part of an ongoing process
  6. Record group commitments
