WEA PLANNING FOR RETIREMENT PROGRAMME

"Transitions"

Pre-retirement education encourages people to consider their options and increases confidence, combats stereotypical attitudes and provides up to date information and signposting to relevant support agencies.

The aim of the WEA planning for retirement programme is to consider the changes that take place at retirement and how they can be successfully managed. Through the programme we hope to turn negative attitudes of retirement into a positive action plan.

This programme will encourage each participant to develop an individual framework for a successful transition to retirement by:

  • reflecting on your skills and experiences
  • identifying the keys to a positive retirement
  • researching local facilities
  • setting your own exclusive goals
  • creating a personalised retirement plan

6 half day sessions
