QUALITY PROVISION The WEA invests heavily in quality assuring the learning we provide and the results have been recognised not just by the organisations and learners who have been in receipt of our provision (as can be seen from the statistics and quotes below), but also by external assessment. The WEA is approved for the delivery and examination of courses by 10 awarding bodies and over the past year some of these bodies have recognised the quality of learning delivered and achieved with a number of awards. "The Workers' Educational Association (NI) has clearly demonstrated commitment to maintaining the Investors in People Standard. A strong and effective relationship between Director, Assistant Directors and enthusiastic staff reflect a demonstrable success in levels of commitment, participation in and benefit from training and development activities." Investors in People Report 2006 | | | | | "This award has been made against the NTA judging criteria and in recognition of your training and development programme. Your entry is seen very much as an excellent example that should be celebrated and shared. Judges felt that this was an exciting project which has gone beyond your original aspirations particularly in the number of people coming forward to be involved and from all areas of the district. Both partners are to be congratulated on the achievement of the Project." Feedback from Judging Panel of NTA 2007 | Testimonials "Over the past 6 years the WEA has been very supportive to the JIMS centre, providing courses in basic ICT and more recently digital photography. The courses are of excellent quality and all are recognised qualifications. JIMS really needs the WEA to continue providing top class adult education classes for the local community in Kilkeel."
