The Man Matters Project, in partnership with ARK, is pleased to announce a follow-on event from the 'Accessing and collecting data: how and why' seminar that took place 15th February. This new event is:

How to apply research methodologies in men's work
Tuesday 22 March 10.00am – 1.00pm
Farset International Hostel
466 Springfield Road, Belfast

The Man Matters project is committed to finding ways to strengthen the men's sector, and has therefore teamed up with ARK to help address gaps in research capacity. ARK is a joint Queen's University/University of Ulster resource facilitating the use of social and political information on Northern Ireland (see www.ark.ac.uk).

This follow-on event will take an interactive workshop approach to applying the research methodologies discussed in the first workshop to your work with men. The workshop will be tailored, as far as possible, to the interests of the group, and participants will have an opportunity to discuss in more detail both survey and qualitative data collection methodologies.

Target audience

This workshop will be useful for those who attended the Man Matters/ARK seminar on 15th February, as well as to those who are familiar with research methods.

We wish to focus the workshop as closely as possible to your fields of work. Therefore, we invite attendees to submit a short description (150 words) of an actual or potential research project that they wish to undertake.

Man Matters is funded by the Big Lottery fund and this support has allowed us to offer places on this workshop free to workers in the men's sector.

To book a place, please visit our online booking form:
