  • Strule Arts Centre, Omagh
  • The University of Ulster, Jordanstown

THE TASTER SESSION SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT, 1ST DECEMBER HAS BEEN RESCUEDULED UNITL THE 9TH DUE TO EXPECTED FROSTY WEATHER.

Each centre is offering two free taster sessions that are open to anyone aged sixteen and over, interested in working in, being self employed or gaining additional income in the Creative Industries.  These sessions are part of a bigger project called “Creativity Thirst” which is made possible by the Creative Industries Innovation Fund which is supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure.

 

The sessions will be presented by professionals Rachel O’Niell, Liam MaGarry, Greg Maguire and Genevieve Jon Designs, and they work both locally and internationally in the Creative Industries.  These role models will explain their work and tell the audience of their experiences to date. Sessions will look at craft, game design, theatre production, animation and consider some of the entrepreneurial skills necessary to make an income.
