Brownlow Library's second Learning to Earning group celebrated their achievements and received certificates at a presentation on Thursday 3 March 2010.   

Speaking at the event Kelly Barbour, WEA Development Officer, commented, “The Learning to Earning programme has been an amazing success in the Brownlow area. Thanks to the commitment of the tutor and the supportive friendship in the class, I have seen individuals lacking in confidence and self-esteem flourish and recognise their value to potential employers”.

Participants engaging in the programme received training in stress management, IT and preparing for work skills which led to the achievement of three certificates.  John Findon, participant on the programme, remarked that “the training has enabled me to take a step forward, giving me a push in the right direction”.
