The WEA has been involved in the INI Social Entrepreneur Programme now for several months. In addition to the training and mentoring the programme provides we have been awarded a £7000 grant to support the development of the WEA’s business side.
The object of the WEA’s business development programme is to increase the direct sale of learning and education to individuals and organisations.

This is not new as the WEA has always sold courses alongside running free projects and programmes. We believe that this is particularly important in a time of financial austerity were grants and contracts are likely to be cut and organisations need to plan for financial sustainability.
