OCN Level 2 Facilitative Leadership
The details:
The WEA in collaboration with Community Change and Groundwork Northern
Ireland is offering an OCN Level 2 Facilitative Leadership course. Running over three days from 27 - 29 February 2008
inclusive the course is offered free of cost but a fee of £100
is payable for the training manual which essential to the course. This
fee is payable on booking and the WEA will contact you once you have made your booking to arrange payment.
Benefits and value of the course:
This course provides participants with a toolkit that can be utilised
in leadership roles; it has a practical application in all
organisations and structures both in the community, statutory and in
private sectors. It builds on empowerment, decision making and
effective participation.

OCN Level 2 Principled Negotiation Skills
The details:
The WEA in collaboration with Groundwork Northern Ireland is offering an OCN Level 2 Principled Negotiation Skills course. Running over three days from 5 - 7 March 2008 inclusive the course is offered free of cost to workers/volunteers within the community/voluntary sector.
Benefits and value of the course:
The course will equip learners with a model of negotiation that has proved to be a huge success within organisations, within and between communities, at interfaces and in family and personal conflicts. The model is now widely used within the voluntary and statutory sectors.

NCFE in Sustainable Development
The details:
The WEA in collaboration with Groundwork Northern Ireland is offering an NCFE qualification in Sustainable Development Running over three days from 28 - 30 April 2008 inclusive the course is offered free of cost to individual workers/volunteers in the community voluntary sector.
Benefits and value of the course:
The course is of interest to everyone, in particular those who wish to make a difference in their community and their environment. Participants will learn ways in which positive actions can be taken to ensure the sustainability of our local communities, reduce global warming, save money and resources in a practical and commonsense way.
